Chocolate Cherry Ginger Smoothie (100% Vegan)

Today we dive into one of my all time favorite, satisfying and simple vegan recipes, Chocolate Cherry Ginger smoothie. It contains absolutely no dairy all! I’m hard pressed to call this a smoothie because it feels more like a dessert.

Just because it’s healthy, doesn’t mean it has to taste bland. And this Chocolate Cherry Ginger Smoothie proves just that. Did you know that drinking cocoa has been shown to reduce stress hormones in people who are upset? Furthermore, it’s chock-full of disease-fighting antioxidants to keep your body in tip-top shape. And don’t get me started on ginger; it’s been used for centuries to alleviate symptoms of gastrointestinal distress, inflammation, and nausea. So make your body happy, and taste-buds too. Grab the ingredients and blend up this smoothie today!

  • 2 tbsp Natural (unsweetened) Cocoa (or Raw Cacao Powder)
  • 1/2 tbsp fresh Ginger
  • 2 cups Spinach
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 Medjool Date
  • 1 cup Dark Cherries (frozen)
  • 1 cup Almond Milk (unsweetened)
  • 1 1/2 cups Ice


  1. Prepare fruit for blending (peel banana and pit date).
  2. Place all ingredients into your Vitamix container and secure lid.
  3. Select Smoothies program.
  4. Press Start.
  5. Wait for cycle to finish.
  6. Pour and enjoy!
