Are you looking for a delicious, tasty, vegan and nutritious protien bar that will satisfy your dessert craving? Well it’s time to try Probar Core! Let’s dive into a review.
Upon first glance, you might assume that these are your typical, run-of-the-mill energy bars; that’s what I thought. But after learning Probar’s nutritional standards, speaking with their team, and tasting their bars, I now know different. Probar and I see eye-to-eye on many issues.
We both believe:
- Nutrition comes from eating natural, whole, plant-based foods
- Muscle repair occurs best with nourishing, raw ingredients.
- Chemical additives do not belong in our foods.
- All athletes should be tapping into this natural source of clean energy and protein
- Ingredients lists should not look like science experiments
- Nutrition should taste delicious!
“Runger” & Taste Test
Not only are these bars packed with all-vegan ingredients, but they fight off hunger like nobody’s business. Well… maybe Probar’s business. They’re also extremely tasty! With four incredibly unique flavors, they set themselves apart from the other bars on the market. Their flavors include: Brownie Crisp, Cookie Dough, Mint Chocolate, and Peanut Butter. That’s right, you can get your protein and carbs from eating a sweet treat!
My favorite of the four would probably be Mint Chocolate, although Brownie Crisp is a very close second.
What’s in Probar Core?
Each bar contains a nourishing blend of chia, flax seeds, nuts, fruit, plant-based sweeteners, cocoa, natural rosemary, and (many) other organic ingredients. Also important to mention: all Probar ingredients are certified non-GMO and mostly raw. With these real-food choices, Probar Core provides: healthy fat, potassium, carbohydrates, fiber, protein, omega 3, omega 6, calcium, and iron. They prove that you don’t need animal-based ingredients to provide proper nutrition for even the most advanced endurance athletes.
How much are Probar Core bars?
You can buy individual bars from their site for $2.99 apiece, which is typical for a quality energy/protein bar. I suggest buying in larger quantities to get a better value. A 12-pack box is $33.53 which brings your price-per-bar down to $2.79. I have actually found their Core bars online from Amazon for as low as $25.79 per 12-count box.
Give me a Discount!?
Geez, pushy aren’t we? Well since you demanded nicely, I’ll let you in on a little secret. First-time buyers can get 40% off their entire order from the Probar site by entering code “BLOGGER” at checkout. That’s nearly half off your entire first order! I encourage you to go straight to the Probar site now and take advantage of this awesome discount. I’m eager to hear your thoughts of Probar Core bars.

I've only had the cookie dough and the peanut butter chocolate ones but so far they just taste like i'm eating a mouthful of brown sugar soaked in maple syrup sprinkled with white sugar. I guess I'm saying I find them kind of sweet. I also don't think that this can in any real way be called health ( soy isolate, tapioca syrup, agave syrup, cane syrup, modified palm oil, defatted peanut flour). But for those rare occasions when there is nothing else it's an ok option I guess. And I guess the more vegan options the better….right…..?
